RENTON, Washington, Feb. 13, 2009 -- Lightel Technologies, Inc. today announced the release of its newest ViewConn® video microscope, cleaner and power meter combination.  Following on last year’s successful release of the VC6-OPM power meter, the new VC6-OPM-H provides ViewConn the same integrated three-in-one capability,  but is designed to test higher power levels.  As the industry evolves, users will be able to continue to inspect, clean, and test with one field-ready handheld unit.

As with the previously released power meter, the VC6-OPM-H uses ViewConn’s large 3.5” display to make viewing and reading simple in any light condition.  Able to store 999 power readings and download them to a PC via USB2.0, the VC6-OPM-H provides a comprehensive solution for those working with today’s higher output power transmission equipment.

Lightel has a history of innovation within the fiberoptic industry.  Lightel’s patented ViewConn was the first video microscope offering inspection and cleaning in one handheld unit.  ViewConn Plus was the first to offer inspection of both fiber ends without changing tips. And last year’s VC-6100-OPM added that important third step – testing. The VC-6100-OPM and VC-6100-OPM-H are the only all-in-one units for the field, providing all the critical elements to ensure trouble-free networks: inspection, cleaning and testing.
